STUDY MODELS
FEELING TO THE SITE
Empty Hole
This model evokes the feeling to the site , the wire bole symbolizes emptiness and lost, this complements with the frozen piece of glass which means coldness .
Flat Square
Many physical aspects related to the site are involved in this model. The flat squares represent the massing of the buildings ; tall , repetitive extended walls made me feel lost in the area . The large pieces of wood located transverse to the vertical black piece means restriction .
PROGRAM (YOGA CENTER/ SPA)
Golden Serpentine
Yoga has much to do with motion and balance and this is exactly what I am trying to convey through this model . Although copper seems to be a rigid and inflexible material , it can also denotes movement and esthetics by twisting it in the proper manner. Both complement each other through movement and integration .
The same thing happens with the people , the stress can also cause rigidness in our bodies , however through the possess of yoga ,the body can reach flexibility , motion and balance as well.
Motion Sphere
The spheres represent connection to the universe , meditation and peace by other hand the wire represent motion , connection and stability . The way the wire and the balls interplay are perfectly positioned in order to find some point of balance between them in order that both can function in harmony.
Balance Square
EDGE
Exploted Glass
This is mi first interpretation for the meaning of the world edge .The intention of doing this model was to connect to the program , the triangular pieces can give a sense of danger which represent cutting glass , many of us could make reference with blood and pain if we touche it . However through meditation , we can change those thoughts from negative to positive , in this way the triangular pieces placed in a vertical way give a sense of sculpture , it also evokes balance and beauty
Curved Edge
For me broken pieces of glass evokes the meaning of the word edge.
Positioned in such way transmit a seance of danger but the interaction with the curved piece of board creates coordination
